Remote Oceania

Remote Oceania is the part of Oceania settled within the last 10,000 years, comprising Island Melanesia south and east of the Solomon Islands archipelago, plus the open Pacific: Vanuatu, New Caledonia, Fiji, Palau, Micronesia, and Polynesia.[1] Compare Near Oceania.
